22 November 2022 – After acquiring our competitor in Estonia, we’re expanding in December 2022 to the country’s second-largest city: Tartu. As home to one of northern Europe’s oldest universities and soon-to-be European Capital of Culture in 2024, Tartu is an excellent addition to our portfolio that we know guests will appreciate.

The Tartu Old Town
A prime location in a cool area is something guests can expect whenever they sleep with us – no matter the city. The Old Town forms the heart of Tartu and is full of dignified 18th and 19th-century buildings, bars, restaurants and small shops. Situated on Rüütli Street, one of the Old Town’s key pedestrian streets, guests of Bob will stay steps from the Town Hall Square, the University of Tartu, Emajõgi River and more.
Meticulous reconstruction yields modern lofts
The building was first completed in 1937 and was home to a popular telephone and telegram centre where town residents stayed in touch with those further afield. The Duo Lofts complex was opened after a top-to-bottom renovation in 2021. Attention was paid to bringing back the building’s former splendour with a modern aesthetic in the form of high ceilings, a magnificent staircase lobby, and historical details. The complex now offers guests single-level and loft-styel apartments, a private cinema, in-house gym, laundry room, rooftop terrace and more.
