Ticinese, keeping things cool by the canal

A lively bohemian neighbourhood, where the streets celebrate their history and the bartenders remember your name. Hop between independent fashion stores, skate shops, vinyl hubs and trendy bars. You’ll see tattooists making art on one street, and nonnas hanging laundry over their balconies on the next. Ticinese’s roots hang around in its medieval and neoclassical city gates, and the remains of a Roman amphitheatre. But it offers everything you want from modern Italian living — whether that’s fine dining, pizza by the slice, or something in-between.

A close look inside

Our spaces are bold, warm, and full of personality — just like the neighbourhood.

What makes us different

We create spaces you’ll actually want to be in. From local touches to thoughtful details, it’s all designed around you.

    Warm tones, cool vibes

Artistic expression is everywhere in Ticinese — including Bob’s apartment. Retro treatment has given this modernised property its own Italian flair. Think fuzzy textures, funky shapes, trippy artwork, and sixties-inspired furniture. The bolder, the better.

Earthy tones like terracotta and rusty red create a cosy, grounded feel. Plus, some rooms have a balcony, so you can watch this beautifully weird little world go by.

Keeping things green in Ticinese

You’re tired of hotels hiding behind vague words about the environment. So we’ve made our stats public. All of them. You can see exactly what we’re doing. Fully carbon offset stays make us the easy choice for travellers who care. You’ll also find recycled furniture and renewable energy at many of our properties. It’s no accident—Bob is setting the sustainable standard.

How do I get to the hotel from the airport?

Flying into Milan and making your way to Bob W Ticinese? Welcome! Milan has a few airports, so here’s a guide on how to get to us from the two main ones: Malpensa and Linate.

From Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP) ✈️
The journey from Malpensa is a two-step process: first to the city's main train station, Milano Centrale, and then a quick metro ride to us.

Step 1: Get to Milano Centrale Station You have two great options to get from the airport to Milano Centrale:

By Shuttle Bus: The Malpensa Shuttle takes about 50 minutes. You can check schedules and book online.

By Train: The Malpensa Express train (operated by Trenord) takes about 40-55 minutes.

Step 2: From Milano Centrale to Bob W From Milano Centrale, it's a quick metro ride:

Take the Metro Yellow Line (M3) towards San Donato.

Travel 6 stops (about 10 minutes) and get off at Missori station.

From Missori, it's about a 5-minute walk (500 metres) to our building.

By Taxi Taxis are always available at the airport for a direct, but more expensive, journey.

From Milan Linate Airport (LIN) ✈️
Linate is very close to the city, making public transport quick and easy.

    By Metro (Recommended)

From the airport, take the Metro Blue Line (M4) towards the city centre (about 10-15 mins).

Get off at San Babila station.

Change to the Red Line (M1) and go one stop to Duomo.

From Duomo, you can either enjoy a 10-12 minute walk to our building or hop back on the Yellow Line (M3) one stop to Missori for an even shorter 5-minute walk.

    By Bus or Taxi

You can also take the Airport Bus Express (runs hourly) to Milano Centrale, and then follow the metro instructions from there (see the Malpensa guide above).

Taxis are also readily available at Linate airport.

    Safe travels! ✨

Any questions? Navigating Milan by car can be a bit of a puzzle, so feel free to send us a message! We're here to help.

    How to check-in?

Step 1: Complete Your Online Check-In
Head to our secure check-in portal here: https://reception.bobw.co/check-in

You can do this any time before arriving, no need to wait for check-in day. This helps us get everything ready for your stay.

    Find your booking number
You’ll need this to check in online. It’s usually in your confirmation email from wherever you booked (Airbnb, Booking.com, etc.). Look for terms like:

    “Booking/confirmation number”

    “Booking ID”

    “Reservation number”

Can’t find it? Check your spam folder—emails love to hide there sometimes 😉

    Get your door code
Once your check-in is complete, your unique door code will pop up on the evening before check-in day in the Guest Area under "Open Doors". That’s how you’ll access your apartment—no keys needed!

Do I need to add my credit card to the check-in form?
Only if you want to book extras, like breakfast, or if you'll be staying in one of the city tax locations seen here.

If your stay was fully paid via your company or booking site, you can skip this step—just leave the credit card fields empty and close the tab. Easy!

    Didn’t get a confirmation email?
Double-check that your email and phone number are correct.

We always send your check-in info by email—and often via SMS or WhatsApp too. Still nothing? Just reach out and we’ll sort it 👍

    Whilst Staying

Please read Bob's house rules carefully. If you break them, you will be charged a fine and/or your booking will be terminated – and no one wants that!
Respect your neighbours. You're sharing the building with other guests and residents. Be aware of your noise levels and keep things tidy. Quiet hours are 10 pm - 8 am daily.

No parties or any events that might disturb other guests. We know, parties are fun, but people need their rest too.

No pets, unless otherwise confirmed in advance by Bob W in writing. Just reach out with questions!

Shoes off inside. Not only does this reduce noise for your neighbours, but it also keeps the apartment clean and in good shape.

No smoking, even on balconies. Please use marked outdoor smoking areas.

No drugs or use of any illegal substances. If we find a reason to believe this is happening during or after your stay, you will be reported to the local authorities and that’d be a major bummer.

No rubbish in the hallways. Please check your apartment for instructions on how to deal with rubbish and recycling.

Respect our cleaners. Although each apartment is thoroughly cleaned after check-out, please pick up after yourself and use common sense when leaving. If you leave a big mess that takes extra time to clean up, you’ll be charged.

Keep to your check-in and check-out times. Your last-minute schedule changes impact our cleaners and other guests.

Report any possible damage you see in the apartment during your stay so Bob can fix it.

You are always fully responsible to pay for damages caused by you, your guests or pets. Any violations of the law or fraudulent activities will result in immediate termination of your booking and will be reported to the local police for further investigation. It’s Bob’s responsibility to make sure all guests are safe and have a good time! Thanks for your understanding and for helping us out with this.
