Flying into London and making your way to Bob W Tower of London? Welcome! London has several airports, so here’s a guide on how to get to us.

A Few Tips Before You Start💡
Check Real-Time Routes: Public transport in London can have delays or changes. We highly recommend using an app like CityMapper for the most accurate, real-time routes and timings on the day you travel.

Taxis vs. Shuttles: A black cab or Uber from distant airports can be very expensive (£100-£200+) and take 1-2+ hours in traffic. For a potentially cheaper option, you can search online for a pre-booked 'London Airport Shuttle Service'.

From Gatwick Airport (LGW) ✈️
Option 1 (via London Bridge): Take a Thameslink or Southern train to London Bridge. From there, it's a 15-minute walk. Alternatively, take the Northern line one stop to Monument station for a 5-minute walk.

Option 2 (via Blackfriars): Take a Thameslink train to Blackfriars. From there, change to the eastbound Circle or District line to Tower Hill, which is a 5-minute walk from us.

Option 3 (via Victoria): Take the Gatwick Express or a Southern train to Victoria Station. Change to the eastbound Circle or District line to Tower Hill, which is a 5-minute walk from us.

From Heathrow Airport (LHR) ✈️
By Tube:

Take the Piccadilly line to Earl's Court, change to the District or Circle line to Tower Hill (5-min walk).

Or, take the Elizabeth line to Liverpool Street Station. Change to the Circle line to Tower Hill or Monument (both a 5-min walk).

By Train (Fastest from Airport to Central London):

Take the Heathrow Express to Paddington Station. Change to the Circle line to Tower Hill or Monument (both a 5-min walk).

From Stansted Airport (STN) ✈️
Take the Stansted Express train to Liverpool Street Station. From there, it's either a 15-minute walk, or you can take the Circle line to Tower Hill for a 5-minute walk.

From Luton Airport (LTN) ✈️
Take a train from Luton Airport Parkway station to St Pancras International. Change to the London Underground and take the southbound Circle, Hammersmith & City, or Metropolitan line just a few stops to Moorgate. From there, it's a short walk or one more stop on the Circle line to Tower Hill.

From London City Airport (LCY) ✈️
This is the closest airport! Take the DLR (Docklands Light Railway) directly to Tower Gateway. From there, it's a 7-minute walk to our building.

From London Southend Airport (SEN) ✈️
Take a ‘Greater Anglia’ train from Southend Airport to Liverpool Street Station. From there, take the Circle line to either Tower Hill or Monument. Both are a 5-minute walk away.

Finding the Entrance
Look for the building at number 24 on Great Tower St. The main entrance is clearly visible from the street. Your door code, found in your Guest Area, will get you inside.

At Bob W Tower of London, the luggage room is located on the ground floor, near the main entrance, and is available for you to use:

On the day of check-in from 5:00 AM

On the day of check-out until 11:00 PM


How to access it:
Open your Guest Area (check your email for the check-in link).

Tap “Open Doors.”

Scroll to find the “Luggage Room” key.

Enter the code on the pin pad.

At Bob W Tower of London, there is no dedicated parking directly at the property.

Location: 50 Lower Thames Street, London, EC3R 6DT (Very close!)

Booking: No pre-booking needed; it's first come, first served.

Hours: Open 24/7.

Payment: Payment is made at the machine. While previously card-only due to COVID-19, it's best to check the accepted payment methods (cash or card) on arrival or on their official website. Card payments are generally preferred.

St Magnus House Car Park (Book via JustPark)

Location: Lower Thames St, London EC3R 6HD (Short walk to the Tower area).

Booking: This is typically a pre-bookable space via the JustPark website or app.

Hours: Available 24/7 (within your pre-booked period). You can usually enter and exit multiple times.

Important Warnings from JustPark 🚨:

Do NOT park in Bays 12 & 13 – these are likely reserved, and you risk a fine.

ALWAYS enter your vehicle registration correctly when booking to ensure the parking enforcement is aware you're permitted to park.

Bob's Tips for Parking in London 💡
ULEZ is London-Wide! The Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) covers ALL London boroughs. This means most vehicles need to meet specific emission standards to avoid a daily charge. Check your vehicle's status on the Transport for London (TfL) website before you travel. This applies 24/7.

Congestion Charge Zone (CCZ): Bob W Tower of London is within the Congestion Charge Zone. So, if you're driving there during charging hours, the daily CCZ fee will apply on top of any ULEZ charge and parking costs.

Tube & Bus It? The Tower of London is exceptionally well-served by Tower Hill Tube station (Circle & District Lines), Tower Gateway DLR, Fenchurch Street National Rail station, and many bus routes. It's often the easiest and quickest way to get here and explore.

How to check-in?

Step 1: Complete Your Online Check-In
Head to our secure check-in portal here: https://reception.bobw.co/check-in

You can do this any time before arriving, no need to wait for check-in day. This helps us get everything ready for your stay.



Find your booking number
You’ll need this to check in online. It’s usually in your confirmation email from wherever you booked (Airbnb, Booking.com, etc.). Look for terms like:

“Booking/confirmation number”

“Booking ID”

“Reservation number”

Can’t find it? Check your spam folder—emails love to hide there sometimes 😉



Get your door code
Once your check-in is complete, your unique door code will pop up on the evening before check-in day in the Guest Area under "Open Doors". That’s how you’ll access your apartment—no keys needed!



Do I need to add my credit card to the check-in form?
Only if you want to book extras, like breakfast, or if you'll be staying in one of the city tax locations seen here.

If your stay was fully paid via your company or booking site, you can skip this step—just leave the credit card fields empty and close the tab. Easy!

Double-check that your email and phone number are correct.

Whilst Staying

Please read Bob's house rules carefully. If you break them, you will be charged a fine and/or your booking will be terminated – and no one wants that!
Respect your neighbours. You're sharing the building with other guests and residents. Be aware of your noise levels and keep things tidy. Quiet hours are 10 pm - 8 am daily.

No parties or any events that might disturb other guests. We know, parties are fun, but people need their rest too.

No pets, unless otherwise confirmed in advance by Bob W in writing. Just reach out with questions!

Shoes off inside. Not only does this reduce noise for your neighbours, but it also keeps the apartment clean and in good shape.
‍
No smoking, even on balconies. Please use marked outdoor smoking areas.
‍
No drugs or use of any illegal substances. If we find a reason to believe this is happening during or after your stay, you will be reported to the local authorities and that’d be a major bummer.
‍
No rubbish in the hallways. Please check your apartment for instructions on how to deal with rubbish and recycling.
‍
Respect our cleaners. Although each apartment is thoroughly cleaned after check-out, please pick up after yourself and use common sense when leaving. If you leave a big mess that takes extra time to clean up, you’ll be charged.

Keep to your check-in and check-out times. Your last-minute schedule changes impact our cleaners and other guests.
‍
Report any possible damage you see in the apartment during your stay so Bob can fix it.
‍
You are always fully responsible to pay for damages caused by you, your guests or pets. Any violations of the law or fraudulent activities will result in immediate termination of your booking and will be reported to the local police for further investigation. It’s Bob’s responsibility to make sure all guests are safe and have a good time! Thanks for your understanding and for helping us out with this.
