Welcome to your new Florentine home, housed in a historic 18th-century building that’s seen it all, from its days as a hospital to hosting Queen Mary herself. Talk about a royal seal of approval.

We’ve kept the best bits of the past, preserving the original vaulted ceilings, cornices, and those classic proportions that scream ""Renaissance."" But we’ve added the Bob touch. Expect design details that wink at the building’s legacy, from royal motifs on the lamps to a color palette ripped straight from the city outside: terracotta and burnt orange vibes that match the Florentine rooftops, grounded by muted greens that bring the botanical gardens indoors.

It’s history, remastered.     

If these walls could talk, they’d have centuries of stories to tell. What started in the early 1400s as a hospital governed by saints was given a new direction in 1788 on the Grand Duke’s orders.

Fast forward to the 1870s, and the building got a major glow-up thanks to engineer Nemes Martelli, becoming the stately Palazzo Parenti (you can even spot it in vintage Alinari photos). Since then, it’s been the Hotel Paoli and a beloved residence through the Roaring Twenties. From healing the sick to hosting travellers, this place knows a thing or two about hospitality.

Now, it’s writing its next chapter, with you.    

We’ve taken the city’s classic charm and given it a fresh remix. Think terracotta and burnt orange hues drawn right from the Tuscan earth, paired with muted greens that nod to Renaissance gardens. It’s 100% local history, designed for modern living.

Bob loves pets. Most pet stays require a one-time fee when booking. There's no charge for service animals.We allow one large pet (up to 45kg) or two small pets (up to 23kg each) per apartment.

To access your apartment, please proceed to reception on arrival where you will be given a key card for the duration of your stay. 

There is so much to cram in when visiting Florence that the luggage lockers on site can be a real godsend.  Whether you are arriving early or want to get a little more done before you leave, please feel free to leave your luggage with us.

By Public Transport
You have two great public transport options to get from the airport to the city centre. From there, it's a pleasant walk to Bob W.

Tram (Line T2) This is a quick and frequent shuttle tram.

Route: Take the T2 tram from the airport to the 'Fortezza' stop. From there take bus number 23 from '
Beslan T1 Fortezza' to 'Zecca Vecchia Nazionale'.  It is 10 stops and takes about 13 mins

Frequency & Cost: The tram runs every 5-10 minutes and a ticket costs approximately €1.70 per person.

By Taxi 🚕
For a direct ride, you can take a taxi from the rank at the airport.

Cost (approx.): The fare is typically €24-€28 during the day and slightly more in the evening or on holidays, plus €1 extra for each piece of luggage.

How to Book:

You can call one of the main taxi companies at +39 0554242 or +39 0554390.

WhatsApp Booking: For an easy option, send a message to +39 334 662 2550 saying you need a taxi, along with your pickup address. They usually respond within minutes and can send a taxi within 15 minutes.

Step 1: Complete Your Online Check-In

You can do this any time before arriving, no need to wait for check-in day. This helps us get everything ready for your stay.



Find your booking number
You’ll need this to check in online. It’s usually in your confirmation email from wherever you booked (Airbnb, Booking.com, etc.). Look for terms like:

“Booking/confirmation number”

“Booking ID”

“Reservation number”

Can’t find it? Check your spam folder—emails love to hide there sometimes 😉



Get your door entry card
Once your online check-in is complete, you will be able to proceed to the reception area at check-in time to pick up your key cards for the room.  To avoid delays and make it a smooth process it is vital that you complete the online check-in before requesting your keys at the reception.



Do I need to add my credit card to the check-in form?
Only if you want to book extras, like breakfast, or if you'll be staying in one of the city tax locations seen here.

If your stay was fully paid via your company or booking site, you can skip this step—just leave the credit card fields empty and close the tab. Easy!

Finding the Entrance
Look for the building at number 26 on Lungarno della Zecca Vecchia. The main entrance is clearly visible from the street. Your door code, found in your Guest Area, will get you inside.

On the day of check-in from 5:00 AM

On the day of check-out until 11:00 PM


How to access it:
Follow the Luggage Room signs.

Open your Guest Area (check your email for the check-in link).

Tap “Open Doors.”

Scroll to find the “Luggage Room” key.

Enter the code on the pin pad.

Please read Bob's house rules carefully. If you break them, you will be charged a fine and/or your booking will be terminated – and no one wants that!
Respect your neighbours. You're sharing the building with other guests and residents. Be aware of your noise levels and keep things tidy. Quiet hours are 10 pm - 8 am daily.

No parties or any events that might disturb other guests. We know, parties are fun, but people need their rest too.

No pets, unless otherwise confirmed in advance by Bob W in writing. Just reach out with questions!

Shoes off inside. Not only does this reduce noise for your neighbours, but it also keeps the apartment clean and in good shape.
‍
No smoking, even on balconies. Please use marked outdoor smoking areas.
‍
No drugs or use of any illegal substances. If we find a reason to believe this is happening during or after your stay, you will be reported to the local authorities and that’d be a major bummer.
‍
No rubbish in the hallways. Please check your apartment for instructions on how to deal with rubbish and recycling.
‍
Respect our cleaners. Although each apartment is thoroughly cleaned after check-out, please pick up after yourself and use common sense when leaving. If you leave a big mess that takes extra time to clean up, you’ll be charged.

Keep to your check-in and check-out times. Your last-minute schedule changes impact our cleaners and other guests.

Report any possible damage you see in the apartment during your stay so Bob can fix it.

You are always fully responsible to pay for damages caused by you, your guests or pets. Any violations of the law or fraudulent activities will result in immediate termination of your booking and will be reported to the local police for further investigation. It’s Bob’s responsibility to make sure all guests are safe and have a good time! Thanks for your understanding and for helping us out with this.
