A Few Tips Before You Start💡
Check Real-Time Routes Public transport in London can have delays or changes. We highly recommend using an app like CityMapper for the most accurate, real-time routes and timings on the day you travel.

Taxis vs. Shuttles A black cab or Uber from distant airports (like Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, etc.) can be very expensive (£100-£200+) and take 1-2+ hours in traffic. For a potentially cheaper option, you can search online for a pre-booked 'London Airport Shuttle Service'.


From Heathrow Airport (LHR)
Option 1 (Tube): Take the Piccadilly line from Heathrow to Earl's Court, then change to the eastbound District line to Aldgate East. From there, it's a 3-minute walk to Bob W Commercial House.

Option 2 (Heathrow Express): Take the Heathrow Express train from LHR to Paddington Station. Change to the eastbound Hammersmith & City line to Aldgate East Station. From there, it's a 3-minute walk.

Option 3 (Heathrow Express & Elizabeth Line): Take the Heathrow Express train from LHR to Paddington Station. Change to the eastbound Elizabeth line to Liverpool Street. From there, it's about a 10-minute walk.

From Gatwick Airport (LGW)
Option 1: Take a Southern train to Victoria Station. Change to the eastbound District line to Aldgate East. From there, it's a 3-minute walk.

Option 2: Take a Thameslink train to Farringdon Station. Change to the eastbound Hammersmith & City line to Aldgate East. From there, it's a 3-minute walk.

From Stansted Airport (STN)
Take the Stansted Express train to Liverpool Street Station. From there, you can either walk for about 9 minutes or take the westbound District line one stop to Aldgate East and walk for 3 minutes.

From Luton Airport (LTN)
Take the airport shuttle bus to Luton Airport Parkway Rail Station. From there, take an EMR train to St Pancras International. Change to the eastbound Metropolitan line to Aldgate Station. From there, it's a 3-minute walk.

From London City Airport (LCY)
Option 1: Take the Docklands Light Railway (DLR) to West Ham. Change to the westbound District line to Aldgate East and walk for 3 minutes.

Option 2: Take the DLR to Stratford. Change to the westbound Central line and get off at Liverpool Street Station. From there, it's a 9-minute walk.

From London Southend Airport (SEN)
Take a ‘Greater Anglia’ train from Southend Airport to Liverpool Street Station. From there, you can either walk for about 10 minutes or take the westbound Circle line to Aldgate (which is very close to Aldgate East) and walk for 3 minutes.

Finding the Entrance
Look for the building at number 43B Commercial St. The main entrance is clearly visible from the street. Your door code, found in your Guest Area, will get you inside.

Bob's Tips for Parking in London 💡
ULEZ is London-Wide! The Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) covers ALL London boroughs. This means most vehicles need to meet specific emission standards to avoid a daily charge. Check your vehicle's status on the Transport for London (TfL) website before you travel. This applies 24/7.

Congestion Charge Zone (CCZ): Bob W Commercial House is within the Congestion Charge Zone. So, if you're driving there during charging hours, the daily CCZ fee will apply on top of any ULEZ charge and parking costs.

Tube & Bus It? London has fantastic public transport! The Tube (Underground) and iconic red buses can often be the easiest and most stress-free way to explore. Commercial House is a short walk from Aldgate East and Liverpool Street stations, offering fantastic connections.

Find your booking number
You’ll need this to check in online. It’s usually in your confirmation email from wherever you booked (Airbnb, Booking.com, etc.). Look for terms like:

“Booking/confirmation number”

“Booking ID”

“Reservation number”

Can’t find it? Check your spam folder—emails love to hide there sometimes 😉



Get your door code
Once your check-in is complete, your unique door code will pop up on the evening before check-in day in the Guest Area under "Open Doors". That’s how you’ll access your apartment—no keys needed!



Do I need to add my credit card to the check-in form?
Only if you want to book extras, like breakfast, or if you'll be staying in one of the city tax locations seen here.

If your stay was fully paid via your company or booking site, you can skip this step—just leave the credit card fields empty and close the tab. Easy!



Didn’t get a confirmation email?
Double-check that your email and phone number are correct.

We always send your check-in info by email—and often via SMS or WhatsApp too. Still nothing? Just reach out and we’ll sort it 👍

Please read Bob's house rules carefully. If you break them, you will be charged a fine and/or your booking will be terminated – and no one wants that!
Respect your neighbours. You're sharing the building with other guests and residents. Be aware of your noise levels and keep things tidy. Quiet hours are 10 pm - 8 am daily.

No parties or any events that might disturb other guests. We know, parties are fun, but people need their rest too.

No pets, unless otherwise confirmed in advance by Bob W in writing. Just reach out with questions!

Shoes off inside. Not only does this reduce noise for your neighbours, but it also keeps the apartment clean and in good shape.
‍
No smoking, even on balconies. Please use marked outdoor smoking areas.
‍
No drugs or use of any illegal substances. If we find a reason to believe this is happening during or after your stay, you will be reported to the local authorities and that’d be a major bummer.

No rubbish in the hallways. Please check your apartment for instructions on how to deal with rubbish and recycling.
‍
Respect our cleaners. Although each apartment is thoroughly cleaned after check-out, please pick up after yourself and use common sense when leaving. If you leave a big mess that takes extra time to clean up, you’ll be charged.

Keep to your check-in and check-out times. Your last-minute schedule changes impact our cleaners and other guests.

Report any possible damage you see in the apartment during your stay so Bob can fix it.

You are always fully responsible to pay for damages caused by you, your guests or pets. Any violations of the law or fraudulent activities will result in immediate termination of your booking and will be reported to the local police for further investigation. It’s Bob’s responsibility to make sure all guests are safe and have a good time! Thanks for your understanding and for helping us out with this.
