We’re opening another property near Helsinki’s Central Railway Station following a high-demand year at our Helsinki City Centre property. Bob W Kluuvi, formerly operated as Hotel Midpoint, will open in summer 2022 after a thorough renovation.
Bob W is a Helsinki-based tech-driven hospitality provider offering a smarter alternative to hotels and short-stay rentals. Backed by top real estate investors and venture capitalists, we currently operate in Finland, Estonia, Spain and the UK with plans to expand further in Europe. Our property in Kluuvi will be our second in central Helsinki.
The Kluuvi neighbourhood
Aside from sustainability and authentic design, a prime location in a cool area is something you can expect whenever you sleep with Bob. Our new property at Kaisaniemenkatu is just 200 metres from Helsinki’s Central Railway Station, 100 metres from our existing City Centre property, and right above the University of Helsinki metro station. The Kluuvi micro-neighbourhood features a high concentration of businesses, restaurants, museums and shops.

The historic building
The premises is located at Kaisaniemenkatu, a mixed-use building constructed in 1924. Bob W Kluuvi will feature a similar design concept to Bob W City Centre, staying true to Helsinki’s past, present and future with decor from local artists and designers, secondhand vintage Artek furniture from Finland, and the latest smart building technology.
The announcement comes following a successful first year of operations at Bob W City Centre. The property has outperformed the market significantly to become the best performing hotel asset in Helsinki; it has achieved over 250% premium on RevPar compared to the market average, operating highly profitably despite the pandemic. It has also become a top-ranked property in terms of guest reviews on public review sites.
