The space

This apartment has everything you need to live, work and play. Get the practical things like a fully equipped kitchen, shared laundry facilities, fast WiFi, 24/7 support, regular professional cleaning, and fun stuff like a gaming console and smart TV. Stay in comfort for as long as you’d like – days, weeks or months. 

The 1 bedroom apartment features a 160x200 cm-wide king bed and a 140x200 cm-wide double sofa-bed, sleeping additionally 2 people.

Each space is professionally cleaned to our 63-step ‘Ridiculously Clean’ standard before you arrive. It is possible to request early check-in and late check-out.

‍Interior design
While the main colour palette inside the apartments takes cues from the laid-back browns and greens of the Aura River, we're throwing in accent shades tied to Turku's iconic riverfront landmarks that give the city its unique flair. One such landmark is the Föri ferry, cruising since 1903 and still the hippest ride in Finland. And let's not forget Turku's official city mascot, Posankka (it's a Pigduck!), created by Alvar Gullichsen, which brings a splash of pink to the scene. This funky, hybrid statue floated into town via the river on May 1, 1999, and is now located near the Turku University campus. 

When it comes to design, we're drawing inspiration from the functionalism of the 1920s and 1930s, where comfort takes priority and every corner feels like home.

Bob is all for staying active, so this space includes yoga mats and access to a nearby local gym. Bob is also all for a tasty brekkie; you have the option to pre-purchase breakfast at Bob’s fave neighbourhood cafes with an exclusive discount.

An average night in this apartment emits 63.44 kg CO2, and our support of climate action projects fully offsets the emissions associated with your stay. We’re also taking action to emit less in the first place and be kind to the environment, including buying 100% renewable energy, installing energy-saving smart home controls, sourcing select secondhand furniture, providing you with recycling facilities and more. The building

Nestled in the heart of Turku City Centre  at the Market Square, our building has a rich history. We’re set in the famous Affärscentrum, also known as “Vanun Talo” or the Cotton Wool House, a nod to its major tenant, a fully woman-led textile company  “Oy Turun Vanu” until the 1950s. 

Constructed in two phases, in 1921 and 1926, the building showcases unique architectural features, including varying floor levels. Recently restored to its former glory, the building’s facade renovation was completed in early 2024, earning the title “Queen of the Marketplace” among locals.

The neighbourhood

Have you heard about Turku in Finland? It’s a  city with history, but it’s got a cool modern vibe. In the middle of Turku's City Centre, you'll find the buzzing Market Square. There's a vibrant market, plenty of cafes and restaurants, and it's surrounded by all the big shopping spots—malls, department stores, you name it. It's a major stop for public transport, making it easy to see the rest of the city, and it’s where all things business happens. But wait, it's not all hustle and bustle; there are cool art displays, pop-up shops, and even chill spots for the little ones. Plus, they're big on showing off local furniture and art. If you take a walk by the Aura River, you’ll see traditional medieval buildings like the Turku Cathedral and Castle. 

Get this – Turku is actually known as Finland’s Food Capital. It’s all about the sea and fresh local produce, perfect for grabbing a bite or a beer. And in the summer, it’s awesome! The river boats become these cozy little pubs, and there are outdoor restaurants and music festivals everywhere.
