    Flying into London and making your way to Bob W Hyde Park? Welcome! Here’s a guide on how to get to us from London's two main airports: Heathrow and Gatwick.



    A Few Tips Before You Start
    Check Real-Time Routes Public transport in London can have delays or changes. We highly recommend using an app like CityMapper for the most accurate, real-time routes and timings on the day you travel.

    Taxis vs. Shuttles A black cab or Uber from the airport can be very expensive (£100-£200+) and take 1-2 hours in traffic. For a potentially cheaper option, you can search online for a pre-booked 'London Airport Shuttle Service'.


    From Heathrow Airport (LHR) ✈️
    Option 1 (Fastest - Heathrow Express): Take the Heathrow Express train from the airport direct to London Paddington Station. The journey is about 21 minutes. From Paddington, it's a 7-minute walk to us.

    Option 2 (Elizabeth Line): From Heathrow Terminals 2 or 3, take the Elizabeth line train to Paddington Station. This takes about 27 minutes. From Paddington, it's a 7-minute walk.

    From Gatwick Airport (LGW) ✈️
    Option 1 (via Paddington): Take a Thameslink train to Farringdon Station (approx. 40 mins). Change to the westbound Elizabeth line to Paddington Station (approx. 8 mins). From there, it's a 7-minute walk.

    Option 2 (via Victoria): Take the Gatwick Express train to Victoria Station (approx. 30 mins). Change to the London Underground and take the westbound Circle Line to Paddington Station.

    Option 3 (via Lancaster Gate): Take a Thameslink train to London Bridge (approx. 28 mins). Change to the London Underground and take the Jubilee line to Bond Street. At Bond Street, change to the westbound Central line and get off at Lancaster Gate Station. From there, it's a 6-minute walk.

    Bob's Tips for Parking in London 💡
    ULEZ is London-Wide! The Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) covers ALL London boroughs. This means most vehicles need to meet specific emission standards to avoid a daily charge. Check your vehicle's status on the Transport for London (TfL) website before you travel. This applies 24/7.

    Congestion Charge Zone (CCZ): The CCZ is very close to the eastern edge of Hyde Park (e.g., Park Lane). If your parking or route takes you into the zone, a daily charge applies during operating hours. Always check your route on the TfL website.

    Tube & Bus It? London has fantastic public transport! The Tube (Underground) and iconic red buses can often be the easiest and most stress-free way to explore. Hyde Park is super well-connected by multiple Tube lines.

    Find your booking number
    You’ll need this to check in online. It’s usually in your confirmation email from wherever you booked (Airbnb, Booking.com, etc.). Look for terms like:

    “Booking/confirmation number”

    “Booking ID”

    “Reservation number”

    Can’t find it? Check your spam folder—emails love to hide there sometimes 😉



    Get your door code
    Once your check-in is complete, your unique door code will pop up on the evening before check-in day in the Guest Area under "Open Doors". That’s how you’ll access your apartment—no keys needed!



    Do I need to add my credit card to the check-in form?
    Only if you want to book extras, like breakfast, or if you'll be staying in one of the city tax locations seen here.

    If your stay was fully paid via your company or booking site, you can skip this step—just leave the credit card fields empty and close the tab. Easy!

    Whilst Staying

    Please read Bob's house rules carefully. If you break them, you will be charged a fine and/or your booking will be terminated – and no one wants that!
    Respect your neighbours. You're sharing the building with other guests and residents. Be aware of your noise levels and keep things tidy. Quiet hours are 10 pm - 8 am daily.

    No parties or any events that might disturb other guests. We know, parties are fun, but people need their rest too.

    No pets, unless otherwise confirmed in advance by Bob W in writing. Just reach out with questions!

    Shoes off inside. Not only does this reduce noise for your neighbours, but it also keeps the apartment clean and in good shape.

    No smoking, even on balconies. Please use marked outdoor smoking areas.

    No drugs or use of any illegal substances. If we find a reason to believe this is happening during or after your stay, you will be reported to the local authorities and that’d be a major bummer.

    No rubbish in the hallways. Please check your apartment for instructions on how to deal with rubbish and recycling.

    Respect our cleaners. Although each apartment is thoroughly cleaned after check-out, please pick up after yourself and use common sense when leaving. If you leave a big mess that takes extra time to clean up, you’ll be charged.

    Keep to your check-in and check-out times. Your last-minute schedule changes impact our cleaners and other guests.

    Report any possible damage you see in the apartment during your stay so Bob can fix it.

    You are always fully responsible to pay for damages caused by you, your guests or pets. Any violations of the law or fraudulent activities will result in immediate termination of your booking and will be reported to the local police for further investigation. It’s Bob’s responsibility to make sure all guests are safe and have a good time! Thanks for your understanding and for helping us out with this.
